A Few Minutes Late

This will be where I share with you some things God has been teaching me lately and where I’ve been seeing Him at work. They might be big, they might be little, but they will be honest and human. I would love to think of you as a friend on the other side of the screen. I love the idea of getting to tell you about what God is doing in my life and for you to see some of the highs and lows that the Lord guides me through. This is a special place to me because its a peek into the world I live in.

This week, I have felt so much joy working on this website! I have had many setbacks and delays along the way but I feel grateful to finally have it uploaded. I met with a friend this morning and it was delightful to meet with her and exchange stories of how the Lord has orchestrated things and put together so many little pieces and details together, leading us to where He has placed us now. I love so many things about her. She has so much wisdom and a gentleness and strength about her that is so calming. She is someone who pays attention to the little things.

“God guides the traffic”, she said to me (still getting over being almost 10 minutes late to our meetup). She was right. Soon after my arrival and our greeting, I went into the cafe to grab a cup of Matcha, and I ran into a singer & songwriter I have looked up to for a long time! I initially met her about eight months ago, around the time when the Lord had initially planted the seed of creating a blog in the first place. I looked through my camera roll this morning and saw the picture we took that day. In that first interaction I told her about the music I did with my family and about the blog I was working on. I remember her encouragement and her prayer for me. That blessed me immensely.

So…How is it that I would see her again on the day I planned to be launching my blog!? It was the Lord’s direction and timing. The first time my sweet friend told me that the Lord guides the traffic, I felt a little unsure. I thought about all that I could’ve done to get there on time.

But, in light of all this, I believe He did guide me, in His peculiar way, to allow me to get there when I did. To meet with my dear friend, enjoy a beautiful afternoon outside and to see someone I have looked up to for a long time. I fact that I had the opportunity to tell her that today was the day I’d be launching the project I told her about months and months ago was all mind-boggling.

Today was one of those days that I could feel the joy of the Lord rushing through me. I am so grateful for Him.
